Convinced there is no one best way to lose stomach fat, Meredith Wilson still wanted to whittle her middle. It's not like she was fat or anything. But she did have a few extra pounds around her waist she'd rather not show off.


The first time Meredith did her exercise routine to lose belly fat she felt like she was going to die. Wondering aloud "THIS is the best way to lose stomach fat?"

But that was then. This is now. Meredith now sports a slim, trim tummy and nipped-in waist.

Tummy toning exercises can indeed help "whittle your middle". Besides strong abdominals that you develop from faithfully doing exercises that strengthen abdominal muscle will keep your stomach taut. Not to mention lift your diaphragm - which makes breathing easier.


Besides does anything say fit like a sleek, flat tummy? Buff abs are a sexy symbol of the young aren't they? Not to mention they are fun to show off at the beach. Maybe this is why women like abdominal exercises?

To get you started how about the hug crunch? It's but one of the exercises for reducing abdominal fat.

Lie flat on the floor on your back, knees bent, feet about hip width apart.

Cross your arms over your chest - sorta hugging your rib cage.

Tighten your lower abs and inhale.

Then lift your head and shoulders off the floor, eyes focused on the ceiling, and slowly exhale. (Don't tuck your chin to your chest.) Hold this raised position then lower and relax.

Repeat for five reps.

After you get into tummy toning exercises like this and begin to see results you'll be motivated to keep at it. Just ask Meredith. That and fat bloated bellies are not something anyone desires.
