Sure. Maybe Jasmine exaggerates a bit. But if, like her, you want to a tummy workout that will solve any issues you've got with your waisteline, here are some minor pointers to keep in mind when doing exercises to reduce abdominal fat.

Okay, it is easy to do. But do NOT pull on your head to help your abs when doing tummy exercises like sit ups.

Should you do that you're cheating your midsection muscles. Let the right muscles do the work and you won't risk hurting your neck in the process.

Forget the ab lounge workouts. Those models with glistening bodies may look good on late night TV. But such "tools" won't get you where ordinary tummy toning exercises will.

Tighten your abs when starting any abdominal exercise routine. Think of drawing your belly button all the way to the floor through your back. This tip will multiply the affect of any ab workouts to lead to a flat stomach faster.

Breathe! Sounds obvious, I know. But it's best not hold your breath while trying to exercise your lower abdominals, obliques, or when doing any flat tummy exercises.

Focus on proper form over completing some arbitrary number of reps. The idea is to do only as many reps you can do right. Then stop.

Where's the fire? This is not a race against the clock. You want to focus on quality not quantity. Plus the longer your abdominals are working "under load" the more you will get out of each repetition.
