The Health Benefits of Aerobic ExerciseWhy Sweat a Daily Exercise Workout?Michelle Harper considered herself workout savvy. To her a regular cardio work out to lose weight (or not) just plain makes good sense.Besides she could tell you how many calories are in a pound of fat - 3500.
Workout frequency aside, listing the health benefits of aerobic exercise would require lots of paper. Let's just hit the highlights here, okay? First any so called cardio exercises are good for strength and endurance. Doing them keeps your heart, lungs, and vascular system tuned up. You also build muscle mass and get stronger bones. Stronger bones help you avoid osteoporosis as you age. Aerobic exercise slows down or even thwarts the buildup of cholesterol plaque in your veins and arteries. You may know this as hardening of the arteries. Finally, another benefit of aerobic exercise is increased metabolic rate. Not only are you burning calories when walking, jogging, swimming or doing the stair steps. But you continue to burn more calories for a few hours even after you've stopped. So while there's no one right cardio workout for fat burning, any aerobic exercise is important to your overall well being. Get into the habit some type of daily exercise workout and you'll not just look better you'll feel better.
