Let's Talk How to Exercise With Rubber Exercise Bands

Resistance Bands Exercise Program Pointers

Rubber exercise bands with handles on the ends make a great workout tool. They're a good muscle strengthening alternatives to free weights. That can almost fit in your pocket.


Some even go so far as to rig up a resistance band exercise bench and use these instead of weights. And if you're a bit of a klutz? Bands like these are safer than dumbbells and barbells. (Unless of course the tube slips and you get snapped in the face or some other more sensitive body part.)

For that reason should you wrap a band or tube under your feet, make sure that it's safely secure. Lift and lower your legs with the resistance bands slowly and feel your muscle working as you move.

If you're looking for other exercise samples using bands why not attach the band to a doorknob?

Here's what you do.

Stand facing the door. Holding your elbows close to your side at a 90-degree angle, grab hold of the ends and pull your hands in towards your waist. Hold for five seconds. Relax. Do 15 to 20 reps a day to strengthen your shoulders.

Or you could lay with your back on an exercise ball. Holding dumbbells, extend your arms overhead (in front of you?). With the tube around your wrists try to lower your arms towards your side. You'll not only get the benefit of the weights, you're doing this on a ball and adding resistance training on top of it. .

What's not to like? Portable, quiet, rubber exercise bands take up zero space giving you a way to work out doing your exercise band moves (okay routine) practically anywhere anytime.
