Maintaining Your Weight After Dieting
Depends On Keeping the Fat
Burning Exercises Going

Paige tends to measure any diet's progress in jeans. She's moved outta the fat jeans and started to wear the slimmer sizes with this one. Which she takes as a good sign.

Problem is, maintaining your weight after dieting depends on more than just a closet full of clothes of different sizes.


Obviously burning fat and loss of weight go hand in hand. Yet the sad fact is a study reported only 6% of those overweight folks who participated - lost and maintained at least a 5% weight loss.

Why is that? For one old habits die hard. While new ones, like keeping up with toning workouts for women, tend to pass away before they can become ingrained. Making it easy to revert to your previous body fat percentage or worse.

So just what is YOUR percent body fat? If you suspect you'd score a percentage above the mid 30's you need to get moving.

Granted I can't say if something as rigorous as kickboxing cardio classes are your speed. But you need to do something cardio oriented to burn the fat. Again since burning fat and weight loss are linked.

Ideally you want to do combination of exercises to lose body fat to help speed up the process. Those would include strength training focused especially on the mid section along with rather intense cardiovascular exercises.

It's also important to maintain proper blood sugar. Doing so prevents you from gaining more fat and lets the body use fat for fuel.

Anyway, focusing on reducing calorie and fat intake and emphasizing fat burning exercises will go a long way towards helping with maintaining your weight after dieting.
