No, the winner's the so called "bicycle". That's right. The American Council on Exercise deemed the bicycle to be one of the best flat tummy exercises.


Here's how you do it.
o Lie face up on the floor. Keep your hands near your ears supporting your neck with your hands.

o Keep you knees bent at a 45 degree angle.

o Get the "air" peddling motion going. At the same time lean your upper body to the left. The idea is to touch your left knee with your right elbow. Then switch. Try to touch your left elbow to your right knee.

o Your initial goal? Shoot for 50 of these "peddling cycles" each workout session.
This isn't a half bad beginner ab workout. Plus it qualifies as an easy ab exercise with no machines, that's for sure.

To get the most out of this aim for a slow, smooth, controlled peddling motion.

While some feel this is one of the hardest tummy exercises, it's also one of the best exercises to lose that jelly belly. As it focuses on the rectus abdominis (your 'six pack'?) along with those pesky love handles.
