Bump that up to 3 mph and you'll burn through 320 calories.

Take that to the next level, say 4 and a half miles-per-hour and you're into 440 calorie burn territory.

"Be sure to invest in a good pair of walking shoes to protect your feet."

Also Isabella warned, "Where possible avoid concrete. Instead seek out a wet-sand beach or a dirt trail. Often subdivisions will have green spaces with walking trails."

FACT: If you learn to control your metabolism with cardio workouts like walking you'll enjoy a burn and afterburn. By that I mean the burn off of fat that comes during and an after burn of even more calories consumed that can last for over an hour. Easily adding 10% to your overall calories burned count.

Shoot for three or four such weekly excuse-proof cardio workouts to get a lean body like Isabella.
